It is a common mistake made by most of the travellers by booking the cheapest flight to kerala, that land and depart in inappropriate timings.
One of our customer booked a flight that land Cochin at 8 pm and depart from Cochin at 5 am. He wished to Visit, Munnar, Thekkady and Alappy with 4 nights in hand. In normal case 4 nights are enough to see all these attractions if you select the apt flight. We have arranged his first night accommodation at Cochin but he is not able to go for any sightseen as he reached night. Again we arranged his last night accommodating in an airport hotel at Cochin as his flight is in the early morning, so he has only 2 nights left to see all these places!!.
The best time to land for your kerala trip is in the morning, a good percentage of travellers land at Cochin and make their first day to Munnar, the journey will take 4 hours to reach. So a flight that land between 6 – 12 in the morning will be the best timing for you.
Also if you are planning to spend the last night of your tour at Alappy, its better to book a flight after 12 pm as the journey time between the places is approximately 2 to 3 hrs.
If you are spending you last trip days at Kanyakumari, Trivandrum, Kovalam, Kollam or Varkala, try to book your return flight from Trivandrum. Because that will nearly take 7 hours to reach Cochin from Trivandrum on a normal day. If you are not getting the suitable flight from Trivandrum, try to book the late evening flights from Cochin.
Booking the unsuitable flight ends up with wastage of money, time and chaos.
